Ctrl Alt Secures MiFID Authorisation From the Central Bank of Ireland To Expand Tokenization Capabilities into Ireland and Europe

Authorisation enables Ctrl Alt to conduct regulated investment services and securities business across Ireland and the European Economic Area (EEA).

Dundalk, Ireland – July 21, 2026 – Ctrl Alt Technologies Limited ("Ctrl Alt"), a leading tokenization infrastructure provider and operator in digital capital markets, today announced it has received MiFID (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive) authorisation from the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI). The authorisation permits the firm to conduct regulated financial business in Ireland and to passport its services across the European Economic Area (EEA).

The CBI is regarded as one of Europe's most rigorous financial regulators, with an authorisation process known for its depth and high standards. The licence allows Ctrl Alt to provide regulated investment services and handle securities throughout Ireland and the EEA, supporting its tokenization business within an established regulatory framework. It positions the firm to serve institutions, asset managers, and capital allocators across the region, and to offer tokenized financial products to investors with the confidence that comes from operating under a respected regulator.

The licence reflects Ctrl Alt's multi-jurisdictional approach, with regulatory permissions now established across several key markets. It follows direct authorisation from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK earlier this year, and the firm's Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) licence from Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), where Ctrl Alt became the first firm to receive an Issuer licence from the regulator, alongside its Broker-Dealer licence.

Matt Ong, Founder and Group CEO at Ctrl Alt said:

"Ireland and the wider European Union are central to our plans for tokenization. We have a long-standing presence here, with a significant proportion of our team based in Ireland, and we see real momentum building across the market. The funds industry in particular is moving towards tokenization, and this authorisation positions us to support that shift as it develops across Ireland and the EEA."

Jordan McMullen, CEO, Ireland at Ctrl Alt:

"With authorisations now held in Ireland, the UK, and the UAE, our regulatory position is one of the strongest in the market. The Irish authorisation also opens the EEA to us, and each licence assures clients that our activity is conducted under established supervision wherever they engage with us, strengthening our standing as we scale across Europe."

The authorisation also marks a step forward for Ireland's position in tokenization and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT). The Central Bank of Ireland's recent Discussion Paper on the subject highlights deepening regulatory engagement with how tokenization can support investment and capital formation in the jurisdiction. With this authorisation, Ctrl Alt is positioned to contribute to that work through its operational track record and its collaboration with regulators and market participants.
