Ctrl Alt Secures Direct FCA Authorization to Expand Tokenization and Digital Capital Markets Capabilities

London, UK - April 8, 2026 - Leading tokenization infrastructure provider and operator in digital capital markets, Ctrl Alt, today announced it has received direct authorization from the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The approval enables Ctrl Alt to provide regulated investment services, reinforcing its position in the UK market and supporting the continued expansion of its tokenization capabilities. It also underpins the growth of its digital capital markets offerings, enhancing the firm’s ability to deliver innovative, compliant solutions for alternative assets.

The authorization places Ctrl Alt Ltd, a subsidiary of Alt Ltd, on the FCA’s register under the UK framework for investment firms. Operating under its own regulatory permissions allows the firm to expand its digital capital markets services, supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of tokenized assets. This milestone continues to position the firm as a central participant in the UK’s financial ecosystem, collaborating with governments, financial institutions, regulators, and other market participants to advance the adoption of tokenized markets.

Previously operating as an Appointed Representative, Ctrl Alt has now secured its own direct FCA authorization, enabling the firm to operate independently under its own regulatory permissions and oversight. The move represents a strategic long-term step in establishing London as a hub for digital capital markets, reinforcing the UK’s position at the forefront of financial innovation.

Matt Ong, CEO & Founder of Ctrl Alt, said:

“This authorization is an important step for Ctrl Alt and for financial innovation in the UK as a whole. It allows us to continue expanding our tokenization capabilities and support the development of more efficient and accessible financial markets. At a time when UK-based firms are relocating abroad, we are focused on strengthening London’s position as a global hub for digital capital markets and delivering the tokenization infrastructure that will drive the next generation of financial innovation.”

The FCA approval comes amid Ctrl Alt’s ongoing participation in initiatives led by the Bank of England, including the Digital Securities Sandbox and the Synchronisation Lab. In these programs, Ctrl Alt is exploring the use of its tokenization infrastructure for the issuance, trading, and settlement of securities, as well as testing synchronization capabilities with the Bank’s renewed real-time gross settlement service, respectively.
